From the moment you walk in the door the outside world drifts away in our relaxing Café. With a unique and friendly atmosphere, highly attentive service and our carefully selected menu, this is the perfect pit stop for anyone visiting Kinnitty or the Slieve Bloom Mountains. Giltraps Café opened in April 2016 providing an additional social element to our offering, and complimenting the pub & glamping complex. Any given morning throws up an eclectic mix of visitors to this rustic décor Café, with glampers, locals, tourists, hikers and cyclists coming together for breakfast, lunch, savoury snacks and sweet treats.
Open Friday - Sunday from 9:00am, Giltraps Café offers all of the breakfast classics that one would expect with unbeatable freshness and taste. Our on-site chickens provide us with freshly laid eggs on a daily basis for breakfast and baking, whilst our pigs deliver bacon and sausages to the café!
The breakfast menu options range from our much-loved Full Irish Breakfast to classic Eggs Benedict, and healthier options such as our homemade Granola.
With seating options available both in the Café and for the sunnier days, in our courtyard overlooking the Glamping site and to the front of the building with the picturesque village and Slieve Bloom Mountains in view. We are sure to have the perfect formula to relax & enjoy whilst getting energised for the day ahead!

Giltraps lunch menu offers a selection of freshly prepared baguettes, ciabattas, wraps, soups & super-food salads. Why not fill up with a succulent pulled pork brioche bap or chicken club baguette and selection of salads, all bursting with flavour, before embracing by bicycle the Wolftrap route through Slieve Bloom Mountains. If you’re looking for something on the go, there is always the option of our barista coffee and a freshly baked scone, or lose yourself with our signature heated chocolate brownie with ice-cream, the ideal indulgence!
