To make things easier, we have compiled this essential glamping guide to answer any questions you may have about Giltraps Townhouse & Glamping and the surrounding areas.

What Is Glamping?

Glamping or “glamorous camping” pairs destinations with the intimacy of camping and the world of luxury travel. Glamping provides a holidaying experience like no other, you get the same quality & comfort that a hotel can offer but on a more natural & relaxing level.  Here at Giltraps Townhouse and Glamping you are situated on the foot of the Slieve Bloom Mountain’s in the heart of the picturesque village of Kinnitty. The serenity of Kinnitty and the surrounding countryside certainly trumps the hustle and bustle of the urban lifestyle and will be a breath of fresh air to you and your fellow glampers.

Giltrap’s Glamping Useful Tips

Our Townhouse and Glamping site offers high speed internet access throughout. Giltraps Townhouse and Glamping also provide all of your bedding and towels while you stay with us you can leave the sleeping bags at home. There are disposable barbeques on sale in our reception area for those who wish to cook up a storm and also a kitchenette where you can avail of our free tea and coffee station, fridge, toaster, microwave & kettle 24/7. There is a local store not too far away where you can purchase food for the bbq as well as anything else you may need! However, if you would rather stay away from the kitchen, Giltraps glamping site has an onsite coffee shop so you won’t go hungry! Breakfast is served with organic eggs from the onsite farm animals. Electricity is available in all the log cabins and Mongolian yurt with heaters provided in all our accommodation so no need to load up the generators or stock up on batteries for the torches. Although there are no toilets and showers within the Cabins/Yurt, they are within close proximity and are located in our main building, which is a 20 second walk from the Glamping site.

What To Bring

We always suggest to our guests to bring an extra layer for the night time as you might want to sit out, have a drink and enjoy the sun going down over the mountains, or relax under the stars. Considering the fluctuating climate in Ireland, it’s best to pack clothes for both wet and dry climates. Ensure you have comfortable walking shoes and attire for the local activities.
